In 2015 we redesigned the school's Peace Garden, helped by funds raised by the Friends (parents' association).
It is a quiet place where children can get away from the bustle of the playground and sit, talk, read or think.
The children chose to model the garden on a ruined church, adding a spiritual dimension.

The greeting 'Peace be with you' is often used in assemblies, as it is within church services. Handprints in the concrete remind us of the way we shake hands when we pass on this greeting.

White plants dominate - to create a peaceful atmosphere.

Children painted the stained glass (perspex for safety reasons!) in the gothic windows.

The fountain is in the style of a font. It contains white pebbles decorated by the children with the qualities that the Bible calls the 'fruits of God's spirit': love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.
